Lowrance has the Airmap 600c which is the closest for aviation purposes, and price range, but I couldn’t get any good info for the terrestrial use, if it even has any, for that particular model. Just trying to find a model that has the best of both applications. Want to stay within the 300-500. dollar range. Can be flexible within 100 dollars more if necessary. Any suggestions?

I currently use a 3 year old Garmin eTrex. It loses signal as soon as I go into the sparsest treecover. Are the newer more expensive units more sensitive so that they find the signal when in the woods?
